Local Fall Festivities

As the weather cools and the leaves change it is time to get excited about local fall festivities. Between pumpkin picking, Halloween preparations, and apple cider donuts you may already have a busy schedule ahead of you for the season. Make room in your calendar for these local fall events:

Now that you have a jammed packed calendar it’s time to plan your transportation. Not a driver? No problem! With a variety of public transportation options available near the White Oak Communities it will be a piece of pumpkin pie to get out and about all autumn.

The Metro Bus K6 goes all the way to Fort Totten. The Montgomery County Ride On bus has several stops throughout the area. You can check the schedules online. September 22 is even Car Free Day, so the bus system will be celebrating by offering free bus rides from 10 am – 7 pm running from the Shady Grove Metro Station to the Germantown Transit Center before heading to Black Hill Regional Park, the Clarksburg outlets, and vice versa.
